One Week Detox Recipes
I did one of my seasonal detox week last week and had several people ask me about it. This will be my complete summary of it. I hope it is easy enough to understand so you can try it at home yourself!
My one week detox goes as follow:
3 days clean eating
2 days juicing
2 days gluten-free, dairy-free, meat-free
During the detox is it essential to drink lots of water. NO ALCOHOL, CAFFEINE, NICOTINE OR OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINE. To make it complete you can also do dry brushing to detox the skin and enema or hydro colonics to detox the colon. Fruits and veggies should be organic. I spent under $30 for all my produce.
Melon detox juice – blend half a honeydew melon, 1 inch piece of ginger and 1/3 cup pure water in the blender. May add vitamin C crystal powder, Fiberzon and spirulina/chlorella (Aqua Algae) to supplement.
Lunch: Raw salad (greens, cucumber, tomatoes…season with a squeeze of lime and olive oil)
Dinner: Steamed veggies (brussel sprouts, onions, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower…) Steam for 5 minutes, that’s it! I use no seasoning but if you need some use coconut aminos (taste just like soy sauce but no GMO).
Breakfast: Pineapple, dark leafy green (parsley, spinach, kale…) ginger and a squeeze of lemon/lime.
Lunch: Carrot or beet, dark leafy green, celery or cucumber
Dinner: If you had carrot for lunch, now make it with beet or vice-versa.
Gluten, Dairy, Meat free days
Breakfast: whatever you have left over juice
Dinner: Steamed veggies or vegetable soup, like carrot ginger with gluten-free bread.
After detox get your B-vitamins, enzymes and probiotics back in your gut.
