So here is the highlights from our Family Cruise to Mexico.
I will start with the obvious ones.
I left the cabin in the morning a mess and would come back to a clean, neat one. In other words I had no cleaning to do!
I had no cooking to do and food available all the time.
Every morning I woke up and ordered 4 milk boxes for Hans so we would have milk for him for the day, room service would show up minutes later with a smile and there was no cost for that.
A different and beautiful view from my balcony all the time.
We saw a whale jumping out of the water and giving a show as we ate breakfast at the buffet one morning.
The kids had a safe space to play and lots of toys at the Guppies room.
But my most favorite ( I know it is not proper English but you get my point) was my nightly entertainment. Usually on a Cruise you get to see musicals, magic shows, dance shows and such. Well with the kids we just could not attend. Primarily because they started late for us 7:30 pm bed time for the baby. But also because we were not going to be those parents who bring a tired screaming kid to a show and ruin for everybody else.
So my son Hans provided us with the entertainment. Being in the middle of the ocean with no street lights gave him the opportunity to see stars like he had never seen before. He was so impressed the first night he started to sing Twinkle twinkle little star. We were impressed as well since I didn’t know he could associate the real stars on the sky with the song and that he knew all the lyrics.
It was dark so you can’t see him but here he is. Signing and dancing.
Then we tried to catch him with some light. It did not work so well hahaha
