I have been on an avocado kick in this detox, especially since in my nutrition class we learned that avocado oil is one of the healthiest oils out there (along with coconut if you are wondering). One studied showed that by adding a little avocado to your daily food intake made people loose weight. That was it. No extra exercising or being put in a diet. All they did was add half an avocado to their everyday eating. Everything on this smoothie is green! Remember you can always substitute or leave things out. Something is better than nothing! - ½ pear
- ¼ avocado
- ½ cucumber
- ½ lemon
- handful of cilantro
- 1 cup kale (packed)
- ½ inch ginger
- 1 cup coconut water or pure water
- 1 scoop protein powder (hemp, pumpkin or pea works great!)
