Siri Kirtan created Happy and Healthy Recipes in August 2013. Many people associate healthy food as being boring and bland, and so this website has the purpose to educate people and change this prejudice. Healthy food prepared right is delicious and pleasurable. Here you will find many vegetarian recipes, some of which are also vegan. You will also find Paleo recipes along with other more traditional meat recipes. There is something healthy for everyone! Everybody is different and has different needs and Siri cherishes diversity.
Siri Kirtan is a wellness coach dedicated to helping women and men to achieve a more meaningful and fulfilling life. A life where you have time to do the things you enjoy. A life where you look forward to waking up and going to work. Siri guides her clients to find health and happiness by being their true selves and in harmony with nature. Siri mission is to uplift others, to be a spiritual forklift. As a child, she followed the teachings of Kundalini Yoga Master, Yogi Bhajan.
Siri comes from a diverse background. She is half “Chicano”(Mexican-American) and half Brazilian. The daughter of a Naturopathic doctor, Gurudev Singh Khalsa, specialized in Iridology, she gained knowledge of holistic healing arts directly from many healing practitioners such as: massage therapists, chiropractors and acupuncturists. Her first cooking teacher was her mother, a professional cook specialized in vegetarian cuisine. Both parents were Kundalini Yoga Teachers. After receiving her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Arizona State University, Siri traveled back to Brazil where she worked at world’s largest steel manufacturer in Human Resources for over 5 years. Although successful at her job, she felt unfulfilled. She took the leap and decided to invest on a second career.
Upon returning to the US in 2013, Siri pursued her formal Holistic healing education at the Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts; concentrating on Life Coaching, Nutrition and Hypnotherapy. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona and connects to clients worldwide. In her leisure time she enjoys cooking healthy family dinners, traveling to see the natural wonders of the world, taking photos and dancing. Although not in your iPhone, Siri loves to help!
